I have been working exclusively in the medium of photography for the last four years. My concerns lie in scratching the surface of an image and unearthing what exists beyond the tangible. Manipulating my work in digital post production, I endeavour to create a depth, a space, in which a narrative is drawn out in each individual image. I employ such actions as scratching, layering and filtering light in order to discover and reveal an unseen view. The intimate, lost moments, a reflective nostalgia, these things that are often hidden within a photographers subject. It is important that this process does not dictate a specific reading of the image in a prescriptive way, but creates a gap, a springboard for many interpretations.
